In the summer of my junior year, I noticed a need in my community for creative activism & fundraising outreach. Seeking to create a multi-platform nonprofit, I founded Made  4 Change: a pop-up  digital shop with a purpose.

 

I oversaw the contributions of 35 other high school students and managed the nonprofit on multiple platforms—I created posts using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom, oversaw communications on Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook, and designed a website for transactions using Wix. I also organized photoshoots of the products, shipped orders, handled communications with customers, and advertised product launches.

 

Through our outreach, we were able to raise $3,500+ for charity, and 100% of the proceeds were donated to four social and environmental non-profits with a focus on immigration, the Black community, LGBTQ+, and sustainability.
