Here's some creative work I've done in my free time, reflective of my passions...
Baybayin Font Design

This past fall, I was tasked with creating a graphic for Filipino club's event: learning to write Baybayin, the ancient Philippine Tagalog script.
While creating the graphic using Baybayin digital fonts, I noticed the errors and lack of options within the existing font structures.
Preservation of Filipino culture is something I'm passionate about, so I set out to create a new Baybayin font in my free time.

I created each character using the vector tool in InDesign. I am continuing to workshop my designs and aim to connect with typographers for guidance on revisions. Through their expertise in the field, I plan to finalize the design and publish the completed font profile for public use.
Here is the working draft of the font:
Printer Experimentation
As I began the process of moving out of my first college dormitory and back to California, I was torn between sentiment and practicality. I had limited space for my prized possessions, yet I'd accumulated an abundance of posters, stickers, and postcards associated with precious memories.

To reconcile parting with these items, I scanned them through my school's printer. I experimented with repositioning the items to create a warped effect, like the examples below.

I compiled the scans in a single poster, highlighting special moments from throughout the school year.

Reflective of...
~ my favorite thrift store to wander, 2nd Street,
~ the rice candies I'd snack on and sneak to friends in class,
~ concerts throughout the year—Amine, Dianna Lopez, & Brockhampton,
~ & the Yayoi Kusama botanical garden exhibit explored with my family.

The poster I created will always remind me of these moments.
