Graphic Design Intern
Tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Bridge
During the 2023 summer, I worked as a graphic design intern for G-III Apparel Group under Carl Banks' Sports Division. I worked with fashion designers, graphic designers, and photo managers to prepare F23-S24 content for brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Fanatics, Starter, and Dicks Sporting Goods.
In terms of digital work, I made image selects from the photoshoots for web, print, and catalogue, made Photoshop templates for MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL team garments, retouched and recolored images in Illustrator, and prepare line-sheets and tech-packs.
I assisted the photo team by styling models, preparing the garments between outfit changes, and overall making sure the photoshoot ran smoothly. While this was a new role for me, I engaged with the team of photographers, hair & makeup artists, image managers, and models and learned how to contribute to an efficient process.
The shoots allowed me to work with a talented group of creatives and was an irreplaceable component of my time with G-III Apparel Group.
In addition, the internship provides opportunities for professional growth and exploration. I had the pleasure of attending a talk on International Sales and Business. Interns were also able explore the Karl Lagerfeld exhibit before opening hours to learn more about an iconic brand and figure in the G-III Apparel Group collection.
